Today is a fantastic day at Photograft. It’s Julie’s Birthday! Woo Hoo. No I wont say how old she is, as you know it’s not wise to tell a woman’s age. Anyway without her knowledge I’ve dropped this post to let you all know. Feel free to leave a comment for her birthday.

Also in celebration of such a wonderful woman I am offering a free portrait session which must be conducted in the Adelaide, Gawler or Barossa area. One hour of photography with me (Aaron) and a disc of the images. The catch is you must book today the 1 Feb 2010. Call me on 0422438804 and we can arrange a time.

The day was a scorcher. The sun was shining bright and strong. For Chris and I the day started at the Botanical Gardens with Tom. He was looking very smart in his three piece suit and to my surprise he was holding up very well in the heat.

After my time with Tom I headed down to the Friends Gate to meet Bec as she arrived. She alighted from her limo looking radiant. The anticipation was evident in her face. There was excitement in the air as the girls waited for their appointed time.

We enjoyed a beautiful ceremony with family and friends united in witnessing this young couple formalise their desire to be together.

It was a pleasure to work with these lovely people and we enjoyed capturing the essence of their day. We hope you enjoyed sharing in their wedding as we did.

Here are some more wedding album page designs for you to check out. You may recognise this wedding from a previous post. Who could miss a Pink Hummer! The backdrop of Adelaide and stormy clouds brought together a wonderful collection of photos.

Last month saw us have the opportunity to head on out to Murray Bridge for a garden wedding. The day was looking very threatening with heavy rain throughout most of the drive there. Fortunately for this lovely couple the weather was holding out for their outdoor ceremony. The rain held off for most of the day until we got to the river. Amazingly the rain was light and short ensuring we could enjoy the location and capture this fun couple.

New albums

We are very excited to be producing Designer magazine albums for our clients now. This is a big step for us away from the slip in print albums. We are getting sample albums made at the moment so once they arrive we’ll take so shots to put up on the blog and website for people to see. For those customers that have already booked with the current packages there is no need to worry. You can upgrade to the new albums if you like or stay with what you’ve already selected.

Further details to come when Our samples arrive.

We are happy to have available a sample photobook for our customers to consider for upgrading from our standard album packages. These provide a more impressive look to your images and are beautifully presented. Below are some images to give you an idea of how one would look.

Wedding:  Gawler Uniting Church

Photo location: Orlando Winery

Reception: The Arms Hotel Gawler

To be able to share this day with Kerry and Jeffrey was such a joy. To have a couple so much in love and focused on the purpose of marriage and intent on honouring God in their day was a great privilege for us. To share with our Christian family and serve them as best we could made the day special for us as well. I will say I love doing local weddings. Getting to know our home town better every day is worth every bit of it.

Here are some moments we enjoyed.

Just a little announcement that we have just gone live with a new wedding gallery. We have also updated some images on the main site.

Take a lovely couple from my wonderful home town of Perth and bring them across to Adelaide in Autumn. One would think their chances of  good weather was high.  I found out ANZAC day was traditionally the start of the wet season for Adelaide. Well after a drought period ANZAC day didn’t disappoint. The day was cold, wet and windy. The clouds were threatening and ready to release their fury upon the city. Fortunately the rain held back when we needed the relief and allowed us to get some gorgeous shots. By the end of the day it was getting rather cold with the prevailing wind but our bride was a real trooper and soldiered on without complaint.
